When a High-Risk Pregnancy is a Matter of Life or Death

July 17, 2017

If you’re an adult with a uterus, chances are you’ve had a pregnancy scare or two. What if such a scare didn’t only mean a possible pregnancy at an unideal time, but that your health or even life were at risk?

That’s exactly what Lea Grover went through recently. The gifted writer and mother of three sat down with me during #BlogHer17 in Orlando last month to explore that experience, the decision she would have made had she indeed been pregnant, problems with the senate healthcare bill and more.

The episode also features an insightful Ask Dr. Megan segment, in which Girl Boner’s resident sex and relationships expert Megan Fleming, PhD responses to a listener’s sexual concerns about her own high-risk pregnancy. What should you do when your seemingly embarrassed doctor says to avoid sex?

Stream the episode on iTunes, iHeartRadio, Stitcher Radio, Google Play or below!

My daughter just went through a 40+ hour labor, which ended witha C-section. But she’s doing fine, and we’ve got a neat little grandson out of the deal.
