“Embraceable” Release Giveaway!

February 19, 2016

Who’s in the mood to party? I know I am! Embraceable has been such a labor of love. Now that the paperback is available, I’m thrilled to welcome you all to its release giveaway celebration!

For every paperback purchased between now and 2/26, one dollar will help bring much-needed feminine hygiene products to women living in Los Angeles shelters. Click here to nab your copy and help women in need have a better chance at thriving—if even for a few days.

**The book is also priced at an introductory price of $9.99—more than 20% off the regular price of $11.99.

Meanwhile, y’all have four ways to enter the drawing for awesome goodies! There’s no need to enter a raffle; simply take the below steps. I’ll do the drawing manually and announce the winners here on my blog on March 1st. If you win, you may choose to receive the prize yourself, or gift it to someone else.

Embraceable Giveaway

Prizes:

1 Clitoring (stunning clitoris-shaped ring for your finger) from Penelopi Jones – valued at $122

1 $100 pre-paid credit card from Denise

1 Rose Gold Vesper (elegant dual purpose necklace + vibrator) from Crave – valued at $69+

1 $50 Amazon gift card

1 BioMatch Femhygiene set (moisturizing lubricant + wash) from Good Clean Love – valued at $30

3 Embraceable goody packs, including a signed paperback, #YouSparkle sticky notes and a Girl Boner® lip lube (Okay, they’re lip balms, but I dig the play on words! ;))

How to enter the prize drawing:

1 – Post a comment below this blog post, sharing one step you’ve taken—or plan to take—to embrace your sexuality.

2 – Watch the book trailer and leave a comment below it on YouTube. To do so, you’ll have to open the video on YouTube — either by clicking the option at the bottom of the video screen below, or by finding the video at this link.

3 – Subscribe to my mailing list for very occasional updates. Use the entry form in the sidebar or click HOME, then scroll down.

4 – Tweet a quote from Embraceable, including the hashtag #Embraceable, and tagging the author of the quote. Can’t choose one quote? Tweet up to five. (Yep! That ups your odds of winning.)

To make it simple, see a list of possibilities you can copy and paste into a tweet below. If you tweet a quote not listed below, I’ll add a $10 gift card to your prize, should you win!

*Almost no one is using #Embraceable, outside of the book. If anyone does use it for another purpose and their name is drawn, I’ll draw again.

I have stopped worrying about how I look, and how old I am. Sexuality isn’t only for the twenty-somethings. I’m embracing my lived-in body. I’ve had quite the life in it, and I’m proud of it.

At first I wasn’t going to comment. This is kind of hard–I am in a loving intimate soulful relationship, my husband and I have been together for almost 20 years but for the last year, maybe longer without sex.

But this made me realize my sexuality is not dependent on someone else. My husband has made some changes recently that could impact ability (which is the problem)but no matter what, I am committed to our relationship. Yet now I am recommitting to my own sexuality–with myself.

What a beautiful take on a difficult — and pretty common — situation, Amy. Your commitment to embracing your sexuality as your own, while staying invested in what sounds like a beautiful relationship, will bring countless rewards. I bet you’re experiencing some already.

I have no doubt that others will be inspired by you. Thanks so, so much for sharing. I’m cheering for you both, big time.

Yay, Elizabeth!! I’ll second that. I don’t mind for a minute telling people my age. Why are we so hung up on youth in our society? I have 63 years of awesome experience!!

Thanks, Kass! I don’t mind telling my age, either, and I enjoyed every single year.

I finally took a trip to Victoria Secret (after I literally dumped my underwear drawer upside down in the trash) and completely restocked with lots of fun, colorful, not black or tan, panties and bras. Oooooohhhhh soooooooo much better!

What a beautiful mission, Shan! How we feel about ourselves makes such a difference in the bedroom, and in our whole lives. And embracing our aging selves is an act I hope more will engage in. Thanks for the wonderful support!!

I’m embracing new perspectives into sexuality lately. As my husband and I are aging. I’m learning to accept myself as unabashedly as he accepts himself, and that’s made a difference in how I approach sex.

Maybe it seems odd to be learning new ways of connecting and interacting as we approach our nineteenth year together, but, with our children growing up and our lives changing, it feels right.

I’m going to be sharing this post (and your blog) as part of the Love Is In Da Blog hop today! =)

What a beautiful, important mission, Shan. Embracing our full selves as we age can make such a difference, in our bedrooms and whole darn lives. Thanks for sharing, and for the wonderful support!

I’m 33 and I’ve finally decided to start asking for what I want. Inside and outside of the bedroom. This is my (sex) life and I’m in the driver’s seat. This new perspective has actually been a huge turn on for my husband. The results have been great!

Good for you, Jessica! That’s a very lucky driver’s seat.

It was a game-changer when I stopped looking at sex as a performance or a race: it doesn’t have to be perfect, be or look a certain way, it is messy, it is beautiful, it is fun, it is always different.
