[…] few months ago, August McLaughlin invited me on her show, Girl Boner, to talk about body acceptance and trauma. I’d been following her for over a year and admired her own story in working with […]
Once again, August, an inspiring episode. The issues of sex-positive living and acceptance of the bodies we have and the nutrition we choose may be the most important for any and all of us. We are so much more than our shape and our weight. And if we grow up in the shadow of sex rather than in its light, we once again are projecting an appearance and not who we are. Humanity is and has always been plagued by sexual assault and rape; perhaps it is the idea of appearance taken to a violent and desperate extreme.
I really appreciate Don Sierra’s objective perspective on sexual assault and rape. It is one of the most thoughtful I have ever, and because it is objective, I think it is one full of possibilities. Her Explore More Summit sounds simply brilliant. Again, it is a resource for everyone as are so many of the resources that GirlBoner radio offers.
Dr. Megan deals with one of the most sensitive and perhaps common issues for women and sex, pain. Its origins are so varied but once again once again, Dr. Megan’s practical advice gives this listener some suggestions that just may change her life. In fact, I’m sure her life is changed.
Thanks, everyone, for another fine episode.
